In these types of courses, students learn what they can do with their degree. They will learn where sports nutritionist jobs are available--at a school or a gym for example. Students may also learn how to set up their own practice. Many schools require students to draw up their own business plan. These types of courses may also take shape as internships or fieldwork, where the student gets actual hands-on experience as a sports nutritionist before heading out into the field.
